1. Overview
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to delete your OGA SELF CARE account. This page explains how, what each request covers, and how long we take to respond.
2. Requesting in the App
In the OGA SELF CARE app, open Profile, then Privacy & data, and choose Download my data or Delete my account. You can follow the status of your request on the same screen.
3. What Deletion Removes and What Is Kept
Deleting your account removes your OGA SELF CARE account: your profile, your mobile number and your ability to sign in.
- Records held by clinics are kept by those clinics. Consultations, prescriptions, certificates and bills belong to the clinic that created them, and clinics are required by law to keep medical records. They are retained for up to 7 years and are no longer linked to an app account.
- Security and audit logs are kept for 1 year (365 days), as described in our Privacy Policy.
- A record that your request was made and completed is kept as evidence that we honoured it. Once a deletion is complete it holds only the dates, the outcome and the last four digits of your mobile number.
A copy of your data covers your profile and the records linked to your account from the clinics you have visited.
4. Timelines
We acknowledge every request within 24 hours and respond within 15 days. Requests made on this page are not tied to a signed-in account, so we may contact you on the number you give to confirm the request is yours before acting on it.
5. Request Without the App
If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, use this form.
6. Questions and Complaints
You can also write to support@ogacare.in. If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, you may raise it with our Grievance Officer.
